We took over the Carmen Guest House in October 2021. We lived in North Wales previously and enjoyed spending lots of time in Llandudno when possible, through lockdown. One day we decided that we didn’t really want to go back so we sold up and moved to the Carmen!
We love how the Carmen is so welcoming and comfortable for guests and we thought it would suit us well, being so close to the beach and being able to park nearby. We have also grown to love Craig Y Don as its own community, which is developing all the time, with places for relaxation, gift shopping, eating and drinking within a 5-minute walk.
We are Ali and Dave – Ali is an occupational therapist who works for the NHS part time, alongside her role here and Dave is our main contact, in charge of most areas! If you want to discuss a booking, he is likely to be your man. He has had a career in driving and construction but has always been an excellent cook and is a font of knowledge having many suggestions of places to visit if you are new to Llandudno or are stuck for ideas. He is getting good feedback on his breakfasts so far and he is happy to be settled in his dream job!
